With live accompaniment by the Brooklyn Philharmonic, BAM's Final Fantasy/Grizzly Bear pairing is the coolest concert since the Obama inauguration. Collaborating with experimental composer Nico Muhly, Toronto classical violinist Final Fantasy's latest material has a baroque, orchestral grace that vamps on daddy issues and gay sex. Brooklyn psychedelic outfit Grizzly Bear channels Brian Wilson with multilayered sunshine pop—but it's the cut and paste projections by artist Stephanie Comilang (Youtube the video for "This Lamb Sells Condos") that make this experience pure atmosphere.
