Because it really can't be safe to fish in the city

Called by The New York Times "one of the region's harbingers of spring and summer," the World Fishing and Outdoor Exposition is back. Fishing involves a lot more than just a pole and fresh worms nowadays, and this show covers state-of-the-art equipment, from kayaks with pedals to moving turkey decoys to lures so real you'll think you saw them at a sushi bar. All major fishing tackle manufacturers will be on-site, and other sports, such as archery and hunting, will also be represented. Seminars include talks by world-famous fisherman Hank Parker ("The rod-and-reel answer to Michael Jordan," according to Greg Gumbel) and mountain hunter Tim Andrus, who has been featured on ESPN and the Outdoor Channel.
