HE'S BAAAACK

A revival of Joe Turner’s Come and Gone

Joe Turner’s Come and Gone . . . and is apparently back again. Perhaps the loveliest play in August Wilson’s century cycle, Joe Turner has returned to the stage in a revival directed by Lincoln Center’s Bartlett Sher. Set in 1911, it concerns Herald Loomis, long victim to a chain gang, who journeys to Pittsburgh to find his family and free himself.
Wednesdays, Saturdays, 2 p.m.; Sundays, 3 p.m.; Tuesdays-Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: March 21. Continues through June 14, 2009
