“We met twice a week in my apartment,” goes Miranda July’s short story “The Swim Team,” about a woman who teaches old folks to swim—without a pool. “When they arrived, I had three bowls of warm tap water lined up on the floor, and then a fourth bowl in front of those, the coach’s bowl.” Wanna hear the rest of July’s absurd tale? The delightful actress Parker Posey will gladly tell it to you at tonight’s Symphony Space program April Foolery, featuring comedic short stories read by actors you love. Other stories on the bill include “Jesus Shaves” by David Sedaris, as performed by Tim Blake Nelson, and “Just a Little One” by Dorothy Parker.
