NIGHT LIFE

International relations take a dive

Promoter Lee Chappell has created a hotel-hopping weekly playground on a stretch of West 45th Street that starts off dry and wry at cabaret soiree Foreign Affairs at the Night Hotel, with Isengart and Lady Rizo—a self-proclaimed lady-and-tramp act consisting of the gender-bending teutonic kabarettist and the boozy old-soul singer. (The incomparable one-woman circus Julie Atlas Muz and the belting singer/actress Molly Pope join the lineup this week, and Joey Arias is expected in the future.) Then get wet at Drip, a free pool party across the street at the Grace Room Mate Hotel: DJ JonJon Battles spins, while all the drag queens and other lavishly adorned folks from Foreign Affairs find out what happens when their wigs and lashes face chlorination. At 8, Night Hotel, 132 West 45th Street, foreignaffairsnyc.com, $10; and Grace Room Mate Hotel, 125 West 45th Street, leechappell.com, free.
