It’s not unusual to see two DJs do battle at a nightclub—but at a bookstore? Yes, Andrew W.K. and DJ $mall ¢hange, who you might see at W.K.’s own Santos’ Party House, are changing up the game for a good cause: the Housing Works Bookstore DJ Challenge. The benefit for Housing Works comes with a potentially hilarious twist: The two DJs can only use the records that Housing Works carries, which includes everything from Lawrence Welk to vintage Tijuana Brass and Grace Jones. Sounds a tiny bit scary, right? Help liven up the mix by donating records to Housing Works that can be added to their playlist. Judges include folks from Flavorpill and you.
