First it was only a notion. Then he got the money to make it into a concept, and later turned it into an idea. But the Archduke of Agitation plays a fine Dixieland clarinet, and it's worth the steep fare to see a New York institution bask (well, mostly flinch) in the public's adoration. Expect straight trills, no banter; this stage show doesn't interact. We ain't in The Purple Rose of Cairo anymore.
Mondays, 8:45 p.m. Starts: March 16. Continues through June 22, 2009
