More About
Since early February, artist Sun K. Kwak and her assistants have slowly been plastering the walls and pillars of the fifth-floor gallery of the Brooklyn Museum in black masking tapethree miles of it, to be exact. Today, see the results of approximately 280 hours of painstaking work when her site-specific exhibition, Enfolding 280 Hours, opens. Kwaks technique is best described as masking-tape drawings: first, she lays down the tape, then she cuts out her design against the museums white walls for striking results. At the conclusion of this show, and after the photographic documentation of the entire process, the tape will be removed and discardeda free-for-all in the Dumpster!
