Rock stars and David Lynch want to save our souls
The name of this all-star benefit concert isn't just a vague nod to better-living-through-betterment: Proceeds from Change Begins Within will go to support the David Lynch Foundation's goal of teaching 1 million children the joys of transcendental meditation (which, no big deal, is promised to "change the world overnight"). Paul McCartney tops the bill—perhaps he'll provide a preview of what he's got up his sleeve for his headlining gig at Coachella later this month—but the undercard is nothing to sneeze at, either: Ringo Starr, Sheryl Crow, Eddie Vedder, Moby, Donovan, Ben Harper, Bettye LaVette, Paul Horn, and Jim James of My Morning Jacket are all set to appear, hopefully in combinations that, um, transcend the typical benefit-show mega-jam.
