Toubab Krewe

Catch these guys at Bonnaroo, perchance? Tennessee was never so harmonious. The five-piece instrumental outfit from Asheville, North Carolina, injects southern folk and country with the traditional music of Mali, using such instruments as the kora (21-string lute), soku (horsehair fiddle), kamelengoni (harp/lute), and a battalion of fuzzed-out guitars, as that's still mandatory below the Mason-Dixon. With Josh Dion.
