HARD TIMES

Eugene O'Neill saw "the transfiguring nobility of tragedy—in seemingly the most ignoble, debased lives." And in this 1924 play, he transposed Greek plots to a hardscrabble New England farm. Similarly, director Robert Falls has transposed his Goodman Theater production to Broadway. Brian Dennehy and Carla Gugino star.
