Although the Kills have been getting along just fine for the past half decade playing morose garage pop, the transcontinental duo recently got a boost in profile; vocalist Alison Mosshart (who quizzically goes by "VV" in the Kills) is also the lead singer of the Dead Weather, a new band that includes Jack White. (As such, the Kills' label just announced it's reissuing their decent, if too reliant on PJ Harvey moodscapes, 2003 debut Keep on Your Mean Side.) London's the Horrors, tonight's openers, play surfy garage rock that sounds custom-made for a Joy Division-era Factory Records release. With Magic Wands.
