'Binibon'

In 1981, six weeks after being paroled from prison with the help of Norman Mailer, author-criminal Jack Henry Abbott killed Richard Adan, manager of the Binibon, a small East Village restaurant. In his new Binibon, composer/multi-instrumentalist Elliott Sharp situates Adan's slaughter within the East Village's thriving pre-gentrification boho heyday. Science fiction writer Jack Womack provides the text for this amazing confluence of art, crime, and celebrity.
