Poised to be a 'next big thing,' this charmingly-named local act concocts an interesting stew of grunge, post-punk, post-rock, and psych-pop. All the gushing over Animal Collective is dying down a bit now, so there might be room in the hearts of the indie crowd for these guys. Most bands would be too confused to cram most of their post-80's record collection into one album, but give this quintet credit for making it sound plausible and not such a hair-brained idea. They actually seem to know what they're doing. For now, at least. Followed by screenings of short films.
