Kompakt cofounder Wolfgang Voigt helped found cool Kölln minimalism. As Gas, he looped a kick drum and ambient drone into four classic albums of something that's either a little boring or absolutely brilliant. For this performance, he and artist Petra Hollenbach have put together a video project that connects the music to the whole history of German Romanticism. And Toronto's CONTACT Ensemble drops by to play Brian Eno's Discreet Music.
