'The Black and Blue Bowl' is also known as the 'Superbowl [sic] of Hardcore,' which really is a more appropriate name—this is a perfect catch-all show for casual and, well, hardcore hardcore fans alike. Reunited upstate, vegan, straight-edge floor stompers Earth Crisis are the big draw this year, but local NYHC faves Cro-Mags, Murphy's Law, Killing Time, Indecision, along with upstate "youth crew" heroes Bold—among others—would likely sell as many tickets without the headliner. The ticket price does not include a football helmet, which would be a wise accessory.
