According to the cultural calendar, aren't mash-ups supposed to be long gone? Well, Girl Talk and this Chi-town duo never got the memo, and that's a good thing. The genre is rich enough for a revival and the Hood Internet guys find good material to juxtapose: Chamillionaire vs Passion Pit, T-Pain vs the Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, and Dead Prez vs Grizzly Bear to name a few recent ones. If they keep it up, maybe they can become sought-after producers like Danger Mouse, who also started out with mashes.
