Mika Miko+the Strange Boys+Coathangers+Fiasco

Part of the D.I.Y. L.A. punk scene centered around No Age and all-ages venue the Smell, Mika Miko are quite a bit less arty than their higher-profile peers: They sound like Bikini Kill masquerading as a Misfits cover band, which is fine by me. The Strange Boys, from Austin, are sloppy maximum-R&B types who should appeal to fans of the Black Lips. Atlanta's Coathangers do a familiar but effective post-Bratmobile pop-punk thing. With Fiasco.
