More Milk Yvette

(Andy Warhol, 1966). The Warhol factory version of a Hollywood Babylon scandal, loosely based on a Ronald Tavel script, stars Mario Montez as Imitation of Life star Lana Turner, with Richard Schmidt playing her 14-year-old daughter Cheryl—who took the rap for fatally stabbing Lana’s lover, gangster Johnny Stompanato. Of course, this being a Warhol film, the camera is static and the action largely verbal.
Wednesdays-Fridays, 1:30 p.m. Starts: June 10. Continues through June 12, 2009
