Noise punk comes out of Connecticut? After two decades of Bunnybrains, the idea is almost fathomable. The revolving mass of yelping misfits, who glued together in Danbury in 1988, have outlasted their notable freak-squall alter egos Eg the Poet and Beme Seed—a victory accountable to more than 50 folks who've been on the payroll at one point or another—and still deliver the madness and fluids of a younger, saner troupe. This is acerbic and nonsensical, skippy and frantic, and pretty damn disturbing at the core—and pity to anyone who'll never know it. With Goon Squad, the NRG People, and Moira Scar.
