10 Rillington Place

(Richard Fleischer, 1971). Before he became one of the most overrated directors on the planet, Richard Attenborough was an excellent actor. He makes a fine killer in Fleischer's disturbing account of London's sordid Christie murders of the 1940s. The flick is engrossing, but only does a fair job of capturing the atmosphere of post-war Britain.
