(Agnes Varda, 1966). This whimsical affair, one of Varda's rare really botched movies, is set on the island of Noirmoutier, the director's home at the time it was made. If it's about anything, it's about the creative process in action and stars that fine actor Michel Piccoli as a novelist who bases the characters in his story on friends and acquaintances. The damn thing never jells.
