The Feelies

In his introduction to Garden State, New York novelist Rick Moody admitted to taking inspiration from the Feelies' The Good Earth to create the perplexing, effusive New Jersey where rock stars cruise the turnpike. (This while Zach Braff was still listening to the Shins.) Tonight's all-acoustic set from the recently reunited group might actually change your life. Playing on behalf of the Whitney Museum's curated music series commemorating indie artist Dan Graham, let the Feelies' multi-layered guitar work and crazy rhythms wash over you in the same malcontent fashion that inspired Moody's greatest work. After all, a loveless love is still something to keep you warm at night.
