The second New York Eye And Ear Fest, lovingly curated by local art-fuck gadfly Todd Pendu, is the best way to discover fringe music in New York this summer: Bands too good for MySpace, bands too weird for the blogs. Today's 14-band bill includes demented droners Nymph, gucky guiterrorists Neg-Fi, shivery shimmerers Religious To Damn, gypsy glammers Begushkin, and psychedelic partier posse Dinowalrus. With Hunters, Mike Wexler, George Steeltoe Ensemble, Love Like Deloreans, Grooms, Blondes, Liturgy, Best Hits and a seven-hour continuous drone in the basement!
