Both of these guys are brainy-indie royalty: Brokaw's played in Codeine, Come, the New Year, and Consonant, among other bands, while Farina used to front Karate, was one half of the Secret Stars, and now plays in Glorytellers. This fall, the two are set to release "a duo CD of pre-WWII country blues songs" (per Brokaw's website) called The Angel's Message to Me. With Pete Fitzpatrick.
