What was once a vacant lot in Bushwick is now one of the neighborhood's more colorful attractions: the Putting Lot, a nine-hole mini-golf course created by artists and architects around the theme of urban sustainability. No charming castles or fairy-tale scenes here; instead, the Putting Lot was built with reclaimed materials and includes such gritty elements as a windmill made of PBR cans and a mock bodega that uses boxes and milk crates as obstacles. Play a round or two, then grab some Brooklyn-made treats at the snack shack. Fore!
Wednesdays-Fridays, noon; Saturdays, Sundays, 10 a.m. Starts: July 16. Continues through Sept. 6, 2009
