Jesus, You Know

(Ulrich Seidl, 2003). At his best, Seidl is one of the most original of the new generation of Austrian filmmakers. He's not at his best here—the film captures a half-dozen Catholics of different ages and backgrounds, in church, who talk about their relationship to Jesus, interspersed with choral music and brief glimpses into the lives of the various worshipers. It's repetitious and a bit of a snooze.
