Roy Loney & Cyril Jordan

After separately sitting in with Yo La Tengo at the Hoboken trio's past two Hanukkah celebrations at Maxwell's, the Flamin' Groovies' Roy Loney and Cyril Jordan made it official, or something like it, by playing their first show together since 1971 at the Ponderosa Stomp in New Orleans earlier this year. Backed by NYC garage curators the A-Bones—featuring YLT's Ira Kaplan on keyboards and at least one former Flamin' Groovies Fan Club president, Miriam Linna, on drums—the shall-we-say interestingly preserved Loney and Jordan bring psych-stomp classics such as "Teenage Head" and "Shake Some Action" to the people.
