The bedeviling Ms. Jones needn't title her comeback album Hurricane, as her fans already know her to be a force of nature, liable to both explode and lie dormant. In this case, it was nearly two decades since her last utterance, but this 61-year-old disco diva/Bond villainess/goddess hasn't aged a whit. On disc, no one is better at deconstructing the late 20th-century songbook; on Hurricane, she more than holds her own in the company of Eno, Tricky, and Sly & Robbie. On-stage, her statuesque physique and dominatrix voice are still overpowering, and her alien millinery and costume changes will still blow you away.
