Hammers of Misfortune
Bay Area medieval metallurgists Hammers of Misfortune share members with other noted San Fran bands such as Ludicra and Slough Feg, but their Marshall stack druid-rock comes from a different era: A time when denim jeans were tucked into knee-high moccasin boots, when angelic female singing and boisterous male baritone wailed toward the skies, when people thought nothing of dipping acoustic guitars, flutes, and keyboards into the same vat as the proto-metal guitars. Excellent stuff; fans of Opeth, NWOBHM, and even Jethro Tull(!), take note.
