IBSEN IN THE PARK

Gorilla Rep stages Peer Gynt

Henrik Ibsen’s verse drama is frequently regarded as unstageable, even Ibsen mused, “I don't think the play's for acting.” Yet acted it frequently is, most recently by Gorilla Repertory, whose director, Christopher Carter Sanderson, brings it to Central Park, populating Manhattan with reindeer, trolls, the mysterious Boyg, and a very unreliable protagonist.
Thursdays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Aug. 6. Continues through Aug. 29, 2009
