Not unlike Pearl Jam, but with about half the respect, California's Incubus have spent the last few years making increasingly arty records for an audience that keeps getting smaller but more devoted. Monuments and Melodies is the band’s new double-disc best-of, and if you haven't checked in since "Drive," you might be pleasantly surprised. The Duke Spirit, from England, sound like Sonic Youth as fronted by Chrissie Hynde.
