Sure, things like blood, guts, and clowns (thanks, Stephen King) are scary, but Debra Tolchinsky and Dave Tolchinsky, curators of The Horror Show at the Dorsky Gallery, have taken it upon themselves to explore the more subtle definitions of "horror" via a new bone-chilling group art show. The result involves disturbing and haunting images, some that leave you questioning the work itself. Highlights include Christopher Schneberger's terrifying photographs of a legless young girl trying on her mother's shoes, Josh Faught's portrait of a young man, titled The First Person I Ever Came Out to Was A Convicted Sexual Predator, No. 5, and Ellen Wetmore's video of a woman whose arm appears to be spontaneously combusting.
