Whether or not you're the type to believe in UFOs, we have a feeling that whatever happens (perhaps in 2012?) is going to look like what Steven Spielberg imagined in his 1977 film Close Encounters of the Third Kind: blackouts, pilotless aircrafts appearing out of nowhere, deranged mailboxes, and, er, small bald, naked aliens. The film—starring Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Garr, Bob Balaban, and François Truffaut—closes out the 2009 Bryant Park Summer Film Festival. If you can spot R2-D2 when the spacecraft flies over Devil's Tower, give yourself a pat on the back and consider yourself a proud sci-fi geek.
