Biz Markie+Lost Boyz+Rakim

Dust off your old school Adidas, 'cuz tonight's "Hip-Hop Legends" concert features the genre's forgotten heroes. Say what? Biz Markie was the original "Just a Friend," Lost Boyz released the single "Lifestyles Of the Rich & Shameless" (a hit until DJ Spigg Nice was arrested for multiple bank robberies), and Rakim (alongside MC Eric B) boasts an album titled The Seventh Seal, set for (non-Bergmanesque) release this fall. Also look for reprisals of UTFO's "Roxanne, Roxanne," Jeru Da Damaja's "Ya Playin' Yaself," Lovebug Starski's "Amityville (The House on the Hill)," and Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde's "Genius Rap," featuring the first ever Tom Tom Club sample in history. Holla, Tina Weymouth!
