What gives, N.A.S.A.? No, not about the Martians—they’re coming, we’re doomed, we get that. Rather, why did last year’s Spirit of the Apollo, the debut album by this top-shelf hip-hop duo—which featured knockout cameos from literally three dozen stars in the cosmos (David Byrne, Tom Waits, Kanye West, M.I.A., Santigold, Seu Jorge, and George Clinton, to name a few) fall so quickly from dance-floor gravitational pull? N.A.S.A. members Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon (the acronym stands for North America South America) curated one hell of a poetry slam between these unlikely artists, and it’s a pity the record never reached its due hysteria.
