They're experimenting with the past at this downtown estaminet. Thinking of those colorful but somewhat fading Lillian Russell-Diamond Jim Brady days, the thinkers here have asked the Russell-like Sullivan to harken back to the nostalgic silvery song of lower Manhattan's heyday. Don't call it the Gay '90s; just consider it the Gay (in the old sense of the word) '09s.
