Before their brief yet brilliant moment of Broadway glory with the musical Passing Strange, the Orson Welles of singer-songwriters, Stew, and his longtime co-conspirator, Heidi Rodewald, led the scrappy Los Angeles pop-punk band the Negro Problem. Sometimes they indulged their fandom as the Covers Problem, and tonight they'll bring a little long-awaited negritude to the Great White Way as the Broadway Problem. Tanya Tagaq transforms Inuit Eskimos' throat-singing folk style into mesmerizing otherness. She'll be accompanied by drummer Scott Amendola and violinist Jesse Zubot.
