BRUNCH & BOMBSHELLS

Get 'em while they're hot

There's nothing like a good, old-fashioned movie about transvestites, especially when Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon are the fellas who are suiting up. In Billy Wilder's 1959 film Some Like It Hot, Curtis and Lemmon play witnesses to a mob crime that sends them fleeing undercover. They take up with an all-female band and, of course, fall in love with the sexy vocal star of the group, one Marilyn Monroe. See whether those two broad-shouldered gals can pass stealth when (le) poisson rouge screens the classic comedy as part of its Cine-Brunch series. The film is free, but there's a two-item minimum per person.
