For their first official presidential date, President and Mrs. Obama attended an August Wilson play. Perhaps they’d like to continue to explore the Wilson canon, Off-Off-Broadway. Theater company The People revives Wilson’s 1982 play, which follows the famed Mother of the Blues, Ma Rainey, during a tense day at the recording studio.
Fridays, Saturdays, 8 p.m. Starts: Aug. 21. Continues through Aug. 29, 2009
