We can think of many reasons not to strip off—unflattering tan lines, various insect bites, too many Mister Softee swirls. But the multimedia theater company 3-Legged Dog has no such inhibitions. The exhibitionists will instead bare all in Why Aren't You Naked?, an art show featuring videos, sculptures, and photography culled from the past 13 years of 3-Legged shows, which, they promise, are "raucously imaginative, sexually perverse, and intimately introspective." 3-Legged Dog makes visually extraordinary theatrical works, many of them relying on new technology such as three-dimensional projections. Typically, the performances' form and language have not equaled the optic amazement, a defect that a gallery show likely won't replicate. Live naked stills!
