P.S. 1's annual summer Warm-Up series closes out with the best bill of the season—a lineup where noise, post-punk, and art-dance seamlessly collide. Microtonal, avant-garde joy-strummer Glenn Branca will lead his four-guitar ensemble through the sequel to 1981's post-punk landmark The Ascension; noise gadfly Carlos Giffoni will team with experimental cellist Okkyung Lee; and Kid Creole and the Coconuts co-leader Coati Mundi will be playing his skeletal brand of downtown dance. Curated by lateral-minded dance label Rong Music, their associates surely will be out too—including DJ Spun and a new ex-Out Hud project TBD.
