To celebrate its 15th anniversary, the Chicago alt-country label is throwing a series of all-star parties around the country; the Bloodshot Records Quinceañera is modeled after the raucous no-cover barbecues Bloodshot used to hold before it was anointed by the No Depression crowd. This one ain't free—admission'll run you five bucks—though the first 150 people through the door are promised complimentary eats from Red Hook's Good Fork. Music starts at 5, and the lineup is solid: trash-talking Nashville raconteur Bobby Bare Jr., Exene Cervenka of X, the Jack White–admired Dex Romweber Duo, bilingual Brooklynites Cordero, Chicago's chamber-pop Scotland Yard Gospel Choir, and old-school alt-country locals the Silos. Also Ben Weaver and Rosie Flores.
