What, just because Fringe is over you think there's no reason to go marathon theater-going? Think again. Through Saturday, CUNY's Prelude 09 welcomes more than 20 home-grown companies and performance artists who will be presenting snippets and experiments of slated 2009–2010 productions. Highlights include Adrienne Truscott, known for her work as an acrobatic Wau Wau Sister, who previews her dance and set installation Bermuda ($$), on the process of disappearing. Theatre of a Two-headed Calf share an excerpt of Trifles—a 1916 proto-feminist one-act. And Andrew Dinwiddie, founder of the Catch series, appears as Jimmy Swaggart in a sermon entitled Get Mad at Sin!. All shows are free and first-come, first-served.
Sept. 30-Oct. 3, 2009
