After years of making do with grainy YouTube videos of racing porcupines, taco-delivering mailmen, and fervent instructions for properly storing cheese, fans of the cult MTV sketch comedy show The State finally received the show and all of its three seasons on DVD in July. And there’s more. Tonight, The State’s David Wain, Michael Ian Black, and Michael Showalter host Rarities From the State, an evening of unseen footage and classic sketches from the show and its CBS’s “43rd Annual All-Star Halloween Special.” All proceeds will be donated to New York Cares.
