FEEL THE LOVE . . .

. . . at a polyamorous cuddle party and picnic

New Yorkers are more cuddly than you'd think. Last year at the Center, more than 115 people cozied up to each other at the largest cuddle party ever held—and this year's party might well break that record. For the uninitiated, cuddle parties are exactly what they sound like—but don't mistake them for an all-out orgy. To kick off the ninth annual Poly Pride Weekend, a Super Massive Cuddle Party will explore intimacy and communication in a drug- and alcohol-free environment. On Saturday, the polyamorous, poly-friendly, and poly-curious will gather at Central Park for the main event: a picnic and rally headlined by performers such as Houston Bernard and Bonfire Bandit. And, post-picnic, you can catch a free bus to Washington, D.C., for the National Equality March. Cuddle party today from 7:30 to 10, the Center, 208 West 13th Street, $20–$90; picnic and rally Saturday from noon to 6, Central Park, Great Hill
Fri., Oct. 9, 7:30 p.m.; Sat., Oct. 10, noon, 2009
