For anyone longing for an Ihop to open in Brooklyn, you may want to reconsider after you see director Michael J. Marnell’s new indie horror film Rise of the Evil Pancakes. The story follows Sam and Vinnie, two friends who reside in Williamsburg and find themselves caught in the middle of Armageddon as evil pancakes are out for elite hipster trust-fund-baby blood. But just how evil can pancakes be? Apparently, very. These breakfast patties have teeth and bulging eyes! And if Lloyd Kaufman (Troma creator) is making a cameo, you know it’s going to get ugly. Yikes.
