HOOP DREAMS

Well, Knicks and Nets fans can always hope

No matter how you look at it, a preseason game between these two teams is good news for fans, and fans of both the New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets need something to hope for. The Knicks, 32-50 last season for last place in the Atlantic Division, are 36 years without a championship, and years of upheaval in the front office makes 2009-2010 look bleak, but true fans will hang in there as the team rebuilds. The Nets did a little better last year, but not much, going 34-48 for third place in the division, and are now without Vince Carter, but after strong performances last year, Brook Lopez and Devin Harris may be able to provide some star power. No matter whom you root for, either you’ll see reason for hope or you’ll know before the season starts (October 17) if your team is still going to suck. It’s a lot like real basketball, only cheaper. Tickets available on StubHub start at $4!
