Scream of Fear

Dir. Seth Holt (1960). One of Hammer's most satisfying scary movies, due mainly to the clearly splendid working relationship of able helmer Holt and ace cinematographer Douglas Slocombe. Set on the French Riviera, the fairly unoriginal story is one of those, who is trying to drive the heroine insane things, but the picture is nicely broody and suspenseful.
