DEAD ALIVE

Bring your taxidermy to the Bell House

Whether it’s a moose head you hang your hat on or a stuffed frog that gathers dust on your mantel, the lovely geeks of the Secret Science Club want to see your dead-animal treasures at their fourth annual Carnivorous Nights Taxidermy Contest. Enjoy drink specials and tunes while admiring an exotic array of stuffed beasts, skeletons, skulls, and preserved and jarred specimens—basically anything that can be filed under “Dead and Weird.” Robert Marbury, co-founder of the Minnesota Association of Rogue Taxidermists, and Dorian Devins, WFMU DJ and Secret Science Club co-curator, will be among the judges awarding prizes for Best Stuffed Creature and Most Interesting Biological Oddity. And the Most Disgusting Hobby Award goes to all! Pre-register your beast at secretscienceclub@gmail.com.
